- Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford

There’s a General Election just around the corner in 2009 or 2010 and, with Labour struggling in government and in the polls, a great chance for Liberal Democrats to look to expand their number of MPs across the country.
Wakefield District Liberal Democrats are presently commencing the process of selecting our Prospective Parliamentary Candidates - finding great future MPs for Wakefield; Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford; Hemsworth; and Morley and Outwood.
As a democratic party, all local members will be involved in this process, with selection meetings and opportunities to meet the candidates for each constituency.
If you want to put yourself forward to be central to selecting the right person to represent you, if you want to tell us about the key issues in your constituency or if there’s a question you think absolutely should be asked then please get in touch.
