National Insurance Increases Planned by Brown
Gordon Brown said this week that people can expect national insurance to go up as he tries to find ways of balancing the budget.
National Insurance is paid by everyone and instead of trying to raise funds from the people who could easily afford to pay just a little more, Brown is suggesting this week, that everyone should pay extra regardless of their ability to pay.
Under the Labour administration, the gap between rich and poor has widened, and the UK has become more divided in income and wealth. People living on the minimum wage pay a far greater proportion of their income in tax than millionaires, proving that in the UK today, it costs more to be poor.
Only the Liberal Democrats have a genuinely fair economic plan which will help those struggling on low and minimum wages.
